Removing Tile Tape
IMPORTANT
One must wait for the mortar or thinset to dry. If you don’t you will pull the tiles out of the mortar. Tile Tape has an aggressive adhesive in order to hold large and small tiles in place during assembly, packing, shipping, and installation. The time for the mortar or thinset to dry is that stated by the mortar or thinset manufacturer. Be patient, a lot of time has gone into making the mosaic and preparing the site so rushing now may be regretted.
When the mortar is dry peel the Tile Tape back against itself – not up towards you. This will minimize the pressure on the new adhesion of tiles to mortar.
We hope you are pleased with your installation. Please let us know your results; we enjoy hearing about the experiences of our friends in the mosaic tile industry.
